• Crouse Health Named a Best Hospital for Maternity Care — Crouse Health was recognized as a Best Hospital for maternity care in the 2026 U.S. News & World Report Best Hospitals rankings, the highest distinction awarded for maternity services. With nearly 4,000 births annually, Crouse delivers more babies than any other hospital in the region. As a regional perinatal center for Central New York, Crouse provides care for moms and babies with special needs during pregnancy, surrounding delivery or in the newborn period in a 14-county region. The New York State Department of Health designates Crouse as the only hospital in Central New York to serve as the area’s only Level 4 neonatal intensive care unit. U.S. News evaluates how well hospitals perform in childbirth using C-section rates, newborn severe complication rates, routine vaginal birth after cesarean delivery (VBAC) rates, episiotomy rates, best practices to support breast milk feeding, whether a hospital meets federal criteria for “birthing-friendly” practices, and whether a hospital tracked and reported disparities in outcomes. The U.S. News rankings are based on objective measures of quality, including clinical outcomes, patient experience, and hospital practices that support safe and equitable care.

• Robotic Program Expanded — Crouse Health added the Ion robotic system from Intuitive, a groundbreaking technology designed to enhance the diagnosis and treatment of lung cancer. The Ion system enables minimally invasive biopsy of lung nodules deep within the lung tissue, offering unprecedented precision and reach. This technology will directly support Crouse’s thoracic oncology service line, allowing for earlier and more accurate diagnosis of lung cancer and other pulmonary conditions. This marked the 13th robotic system in Crouse’s surgical suite, which already includes 11 da Vinci surgical robots, further solidifying the hospital’s position as the regional leader in robotic-assisted surgery. Crouse’s robotics program also includes the Mazor system for spinal surgery and the Mako system for total joint replacement.

• Crouse Health Nationally Recognized for Stroke Care — Crouse Health received the American Heart Association’s Get With The Guidelines® – Stroke GoldPlus quality achievement award for its commitment to ensuring stroke patients receive the most appropriate treatment according to nationally recognized, research-based guidelines, ultimately leading to more lives saved and reduced disability. Get With The Guidelines puts the expertise of the American Heart Association and American Stroke Association to work for hospitals nationwide, helping ensure patient care is aligned with the latest research- and evidence-based guidelines. Get With The Guidelines – Stroke is an in-hospital program for improving stroke care by promoting consistent adherence to these guidelines, which can minimize the long-term effects of a stroke and even prevent death.“As a nationally designated comprehensive stroke center, Crouse is committed to improving patient care by adhering to the latest treatment guidelines,” said Neuroscience Medical Director David Padalino, MD. “Get With The Guidelines makes it easier for our teams to put proven knowledge and guidelines to work on a daily basis, which studies show can help patients recover better. • Crouse Health Recognized with American Heart Association’s Get With The Guidelines – Heart Failure Silver Plus Award — Crouse Health Recognized with American Heart Association’s Get With The Guidelines® – Heart Failure Silver Plus Award — Crouse Health has been honored with the American Heart Association’s Get With The Guidelines – Heart Failure Silver Plus Quality Achievement Award, recognizing Crouse’s commitment to improving outcomes for patients with heart failure through adherence to the most current, evidence-based treatment guidelines. This designation reflects the hospital dedication to delivering high-quality cardiac care and its leadership as a regional provider of comprehensive heart services. The Silver Plus award is presented to hospitals that consistently meet specific performance measures in the diagnosis and treatment of heart failure patients, including the appropriate use of medications and risk-reduction therapies aligned with nationally recognized clinical guidelines.

• ‘Most Trusted’ Healthcare Brands — Crouse Health has been recognized as a top 40 “most trusted” healthcare brand in Monigle’s “Humanizing Brand Experience, Vol 8” report. Monigle is a leading brand consultancy based in Denver. This prestigious recognition highlights Crouse Health’s commitment to delivering compassionate, high-quality care while fostering deep trust with the communities it serves. The in-depth analysis reveals key trends, insights and strategies shaping the future of healthcare. In the 2025 report, Crouse ranks No. 37 out of 213 health systems and hospitals nationwide. Crouse’s ranking in Monigle’s 2024 report was No. 65, which represents a jump of 28 points. The annual report, regarded as the definitive study of healthcare brand experience from the consumer perspective, gathers insights from more than 27,000 household healthcare decision-makers and ranks over 200 brands nationwide. • 100 Years — The American Hospital Association (AHA) honored Crouse Hospital in Syracuse in in appreciation for its 100 years of participation and leadership in the AHA. Crouse Hospital is a part of Crouse Health.
