• The VA at the end of 2025 was in the process of hiring a new medical center director.
• Renovated Community Living Center — The Syracuse VA Medical Center celebrated the grand opening of its newly renovated community living center (CLC), marking the completion of a year-long project focused on enhancing the comfort, care and quality of life for our nation’s Veterans. The extensive renovation includes 28 fully remodeled, Veteran-centered rooms designed to provide a home-like environment that supports dignity and independence. In addition to the upgraded rooms, the renovation features: a brand-new common area for family and visitors; an enhanced indoor/outdoor patio space for recreation and relaxation; a new dayroom and dining area to foster community and connection; an improved nursing station to support streamlined, high-quality care; a dedicated staff room to promote wellness for caregivers “These renovations reflect our deep commitment to honoring veterans with the best possible environment for healing, comfort, and daily living,” said Michael DelDuca, Syracuse VA Medical Center interim director. “This space is now more welcoming, functional, and reflective of the respect and gratitude we have for those who served.”
