ACR Health offers a wide range of free and confidential support services to individuals with chronic diseases, including HIV/AIDS, diabetes, heart disease, hepatitis C, obesity, asthma, and substance use disorder, with the goal of positive health outcomes. The agency also connects clients with medical care, legal assistance, health insurance, nutrition and health education, social services, housing, transportation, and medication adherence. The agency provides free and confidential HIV/STI/HCV testing, along with prevention services, a syringe exchange program, and overdose prevention tools. The Q Center offers safe places for LGBTQ youth in Central New York, Mohawk Valley and Northern New York, offering support groups, afterschool drop-in programs and parental/guardian support. ACR Health has serves Cayuga, Herkimer, Jefferson, Lewis, Madison, Oneida, Onondaga, Oswego, and St. Lawrence counties.

The Chapter focuses on eliminating the loss of life from suicide by delivering innovative prevention programs, educating the public about risk factors and warning signs, raising funding for suicide research and programs, and reaching out to those individuals who have lost someone to suicide. The Greater Central NY Chapter includes the following Counties: Broome, Cayuga, Chenango, Cortland, Delaware, Herkimer, Lewis, Jefferson, Madison, Oneida, Onondaga, Oswego, Otsego, Schoharie, Tioga, and Tompkins.

There are support groups in Oswego, East Syracuse, Ithaca and Watertown. NAMI Syracuse, Inc., an affiliate of NAMI-NYS and NAMI, the National Alliance on Mental Illness, strives to better the lives of individuals and families affected by mental illness through advocacy, support, public awareness, and education. Open to those who have undergone or are considering weight loss surgery, with guest speakers at each session presenting on relevant topics. Participants can also ask questions, and share stories about post-surgery weight loss. Meetings are via Zoom.
