Career Highlights: Spearheaded opening of 200,000 sq. ft. LEED Gold ambulatory medical center; directed launch of 29-bed Children’s Behavioral Health Center, 2024; leading design and construction of $450 million 500,000 sq. ft. clinical expansion tower expected to complete in 2030.

Skills that make you an effective leader? “I have a strong operational background and understand that clear communication and having diverse teams around me are the keys to reaching shared goals.”

How do you describe your managerial philosophy or approach? “I lead with transparency and stress collaboration between my departments. I strive to empower my teams but also set clear expectations.”

How do you personally demonstrate leadership and inspire your staff? “I try to stay visible in all the support areas. Rounding and actively listening to remove any barriers they may have in their areas.”

How do you see the healthcare industry changing in the next few years, and how will you prepare your organization for those changes? “We will continue to face workforce challenges. We will need to leverage technology and AI while not losing the human touch and keeping compassionate care at the core of every patient’s interaction. Continuing to work with stakeholders across the community to help improve access to healthcare jobs at all levels.”

What are the top three priorities for your organization within the next year? “Improving patient access, strengthening workforce recruitment and retention and enhancing operational efficiencies.”

How can the healthcare industry in the region be improved? “More collaboration across providers and other industries, like housing development, education, nutrition.”
