ConnextCare, a major provider of comprehensive, affordable and premier health care in Oswego County, recently honored community leaders who helped the organization during the last several decades. The ball had historical significance for the organization as it was first hosted in 1974 by the Pulaski Junior Civic League, as an opportunity to raise money for NOCHBI — Northern Oswego County Health Building, the predecessor of ConnextCare. Honored during the event were Diane Cooper-Currier, Oswego County County Opportunity’s executive director, Daniel Dey, the longtime former ConnextCare president, who supervised the transition of the organization to ConnextCare, Michael Backus, Oswego Health’s president and executive officer, and Ellen Host, former ConnextCare chairwoman.
